Côte d’Ivoire has been confirmed as the host for the West Africa Zone, WAFU-B, Women’s Championship.
The competition will serve as the qualifier for the CAF Women’s Champions League.
The competition is scheduled to take place from August 10th to 23rd, 2024.
Seven nations—Benin, Burkina Faso, Côte d’Ivoire, Ghana, Niger Republic, Nigeria, and Togo—will vie for the sole qualification spot from the zone.
Representing Nigeria in this prestigious event will be Edo Queens, fresh off their historic first victory in the Nigeria Women Football League title in May under the guidance of coach Moses Aduku.
In the previous edition, Ghana’s Ampem Darkoa secured the zone’s ticket by defeating Delta Queens in the final.
The 2024 tournament promises intense competition as teams battle for a place in the continental championship.
