Nigeria and AC Milan attacker, Samuel Chukwueze, could be sidelined for up to four weeks due to a hamstring injury.
Milan confirmed Chukwueze’s injury on their website on Wednesday.
The former Villarreal winger was in action for the Super Eagles in their 2-2 draw with Saudi Arabia last Friday but missed Monday’s 3-2 win against Mozambique due to the injury.
“Samuel Chukwueze is already back at Milanello: the Nigerian suffered a left hamstring injury while away on international duty, thus ruling him out of his country’s match against Mozambique.”
Though Milan did not indicate how long Chukwueze will be out, Football Italia reports that the nature of the injury would usually require at least a couple of weeks out, more likely closer to a month.
The Nigeria international is now set to miss Milan’s games against Juventus, Paris Saint-Germain and Napoli.
Also, there is the possibility of him missing Nigeria’s upcoming games against Lesotho and Zimbabwe for the 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifiers in November.
