Chelsea is reportedly set to prioritize the acquisitions of RB Leipzig striker Benjamin Sesko and Crystal Palace winger Michael Olise during the upcoming summer transfer window.
The Blues are expected to be active in the market but will likely need to offload several players to make room for new arrivals.
New head coach, Enzo Maresca, is said to be focusing on bringing in a new center-back, striker, and wide forward, though his influence over transfers remains uncertain.
One likely departure is Conor Gallagher, who has drawn interest from Tottenham and Aston Villa. Valued at £50 million, Gallagher’s sale would generate pure profit for Chelsea.
The Blues are poised to renew their interest in Olise after failing to secure the 22-year-old winger from Crystal Palace last summer.
Olise had unexpectedly signed a new contract with Palace, ending Chelsea’s pursuit amid accusations of ‘tapping up’ and threats of legal action from Palace.
Chelsea now seems ready to resume their efforts to sign Olise, as well as Sesko, who has also caught the eye of Arsenal. According to French outlet Foot Mercato, Chelsea has already initiated discussions with the representatives of both players.
Chelsea’s owner Todd Boehly, having already invested heavily in the club, is prepared to spend again this summer. Meanwhile, Arsenal is also reportedly interested in Sesko, alongside Napoli’s Victor Osimhen.
However, Chelsea has apparently cooled their interest in Osimhen due to his price and injury history, with Arsenal remaining a potential destination.
