Nollywood actress, Uche Jombo, has requested that American rapper, 50 Cent, cast a Nigerian actor as the main character in his upcoming Hushpuppi series.
She made this request in the comment section of 50 Cent’s Instagram post on Wednesday.
50 Cent had on Wednesday morning announced plans to release a movie series based on Hushpuppi’s scam story.
He wrote, “For my scammers I gotta do this one, Hushpuppy series coming soon! GLG”
But responding to 50 Cent in his comment section, Jumbo asked the famous rapper to cast a Nigerian actor as Hushpuppi.
She wrote, “Please give a Nigerian actor the opportunity to play this character.”
According to the US Authorities, the Nigerian social media influencer, Ramon Abbas, aka Hushpuppi, perfected a simple internet scam and laundered millions of dollars.
He was arrested, incarcerated and tried on 27 July 2021, in Los Angeles. He was then imprisoned for 11 years for defrauding over 1.9 million.
