Grammy award-winning Nigerian singer, Damini Ebunoluwa Ogulu, popularly known as Burna Boy, has become the first African music artiste to hit one billion streams on Audiomack.
Burna Boy made the great feat as the global streaming platform announced it via a Twitter post on Thursday.
Audiomack, a music streaming platform that allows creators to share unlimited music and podcast content for free, released a congratulatory message on Thursday via its Twitter handle, to celebrate the Nigerian’s new feat.
The post read, Congratulations, Burna Boy on becoming the first African Artist to hit 1 billion Audiomack streams.”
The Nigerian music superstar made history by becoming the first African artist to headline a solo concert in a UK stadium.
He sold out the 80,000-capacity London Stadium and performed his “Love Damini” album and some of his hit songs.
The London Stadium management acknowledged his achievement on Twitter.
Burna Boy performed at the Champions League Kick-off Show by Pepsi, following his sold-out concert in the London Stadium.
He shared the stage with Brazilian pop star Anitta in Istanbul, Turkey, and performed songs like ‘Last Last’ and ‘It’s Plenty’.
Burna Boy is expanding his global audience and musical achievements as he aims to conquer bigger music markets.
