The Adamawa State Police Command, on Monday, said it has arrested three local hunters and others for conspiring to aid kidnapping in the Girei and Fufore Local Government Areas of the state.
The Public Relations Officer of the Command, SP Sulaan Nguroje, in a statement, on Monday, said the three suspects: Auwal Mohammed (28), Isa Umaru (40), and Rabiu Mohammed (19) have been terrorising Pariya Daware and Girei villages.
According to the statement, findings revealed that the suspects betrayed the trust reposed in them by the community members to protect lives and property.
They went ahead supplying food items and other basic needs to their fellow kidnappers around the area.
He said the police had recovered one motorcycle, locally made pistols and other items from the suspects.
He added that the three suspects would be charged to court as soon as the investigation is completed.
