Ondo State Governor, Dr. Lucky Orimisan Aiyedatiwa, has announced key appointments in his administration, naming Dr. Taiwo Fasoranti as the new Secretary to the State Government.
The announcement came shortly after he officially resumed office following his swearing-in as the 7th democratically elected governor of the state on Monday.
The Chief Press Secretary to the Governor, Prince Ebenezer Adeniyan, confirmed that all appointments take immediate effect in a statement released on Monday, February 24, 2025.
Dr. Fasoranti, who hails from Akure South Local Government Area, previously served as Chairman of the Ondo State Hospitals Management Board before his new appointment.
In addition to the SSG appointment, Governor Aiyedatiwa also confirmed the reappointment of Dr. Kayode Ajulo, SAN, as Attorney General and Commissioner for Justice, and Mrs. Omowunmi Isaac as Commissioner for Finance.
Several Special Advisers retained their positions, including, Engr. Johnson Alabi (Power), Dr. Seun Osamaye (Women Affairs), Comrade Bola Taiwo (Union Matters & Special Duties), Prof. Simidele Odimayo (Health).
Additionally, Engr. Abiola Olawoye, who previously served as Senior Special Assistant on Infrastructure, Lands, and Housing, has been promoted to Special Adviser in the same portfolio.
Governor Aiyedatiwa urged the new appointees to immediately begin work, emphasizing his administration’s commitment to effective governance.
“These appointments are based on merit, experience, and dedication to service. I expect all appointees to hit the ground running and deliver on the mandate of serving the people of Ondo State efficiently,” he stated.
