Ogun State’s Head of Service, Kehinde Onasanya, has revealed that the state government has promoted 26,764 civil and public servants across various levels.
In a statement shared with The PUNCH on Saturday, Onasanya noted that the promotion exercise encompassed employees in junior, senior, and management roles across different Ministries, Departments, and Agencies.
Speaking during an ongoing promotion interview session, he emphasized that Governor Dapo Abiodun’s approval of the 2023 and 2024 promotion exercises had paved the way for career growth among eligible officers, ensuring improved service delivery.
“The administration of Dapo Abiodun since assumption of office in 2019 has taken the welfare of the entire workforce seriously by implementing policies aimed at enhancing efficient service delivery,” the statement read.
It further highlighted the government’s commitment to workers’ welfare, adding, “The welfare of workers is very key in the scheme of things, and the flexibility of government in this regard cannot be overemphasised. With this conduct, Ogun is up-to-date on promotion matters.”
