EeZeeTee sponsored fake news about my child’s paternity – Mercy Chinwo
Renowned gospel singer and songwriter, Mercy Chinwo, revealed that issues with her former manager, Ezekiel ThankGod, the founder of EeZee Conceptz, started after her collaboration with Nathaniel Bassey, revealing that he sponsored fake news about her child’s paternity.
In an emotional video shared on her social media platforms, the singer accused him of withholding her royalties for two years and orchestrating a smear campaign to tarnish her reputation.
Mercy Chinwo explained that the conflict began in 2017 when she signed a management contract with EeZee Conceptz, trusting him as a mentor and a father figure.
However, the relationship soured after she refused to sign a 12-year extension. She alleged that this refusal triggered a series of retaliatory actions, including bullying, threats, and defamation.
“He looked at me and said, ‘I made you who you are, and I will destroy you,'” she revealed. “I became scared for my life. It got to a point where I had to move from Lagos to Port Harcourt because this man made the environment toxic for me.”
Mercy Chinwo detailed how her former manager allegedly used his influence to spread false stories about her personal life, including derogatory claims about her son.
She accused him of paying bloggers to publish fake news about her and other gospel ministers he disliked, including Pastor Nathanael Bassey and Pastor Jerry Eze.
“One of my major crimes was when I did a song with Pastor Nathanael Bassey,” Mercy stated. “Because this man hates Pastor Nathanael Bassey, you went as far as posting fake news about an innocent child, my son, and you said my son was not my son.”
The singer also highlighted ongoing legal battles between herself and her former manager, revealing that he had taken her and gospel minister Judy Kay to court while portraying himself as the victim on social media.
She challenged him to explain the discrepancies in the contracts signed in 2017 and 2019, sharing documents to back her claims.
“I have endured bullying, I have endured threats, and whatever he does on social media now is nothing compared to what I went through,” she said. “You have bloggers. I have God. And I know that God will not let your plan come to pass.”
Despite the struggles, Mercy Chinwo remains unwavering in her faith. She described her former manager’s actions as an attempt to control her career and damage her reputation, but she expressed confidence that divine justice would prevail.
“God is my ultimate protector,” she declared, adding that she refuses to be silenced.
The singer’s revelations have sparked widespread reactions among her fans and followers, many of whom have expressed solidarity and admiration for her courage in speaking out.
