Jake Paul has defeated the legendary “Iron” Mike Tyson in an exhibition match held on Saturday at AT&T Stadium in Arlington, Texas, United States.
The highly anticipated bout, which lasted for eight rounds, saw Paul triumph by unanimous decision, landing 78 punches compared to Tyson’s 18.
The match featured some unique conditions, with each round lasting just two minutes—much shorter than the typical three minutes found in professional bouts—and both fighters wore heavier 14-ounce gloves, in contrast to the standard 10-ounce gloves used in most professional fights.
Tyson, who was a dominant force in the heavyweight division during the late 1980s, made a return to the ring nearly two decades after his last professional bout in 2005.
At 58 years old, Tyson took on 27-year-old Jake Paul, a former YouTube star turned boxer, in a match officially sanctioned by boxing authorities.
This exhibition, originally scheduled for July, was postponed due to Tyson’s health scare in May.
Tyson had to receive medical attention after experiencing severe health issues during a flight from Miami to Los Angeles, where he vomited blood due to a bleeding ulcer.
Despite these challenges, Tyson climbed back into the ring to face Paul in this historic showdown.
