The General Overseer of Goshen Freedom Tabernacle, Prophet Austin Ariole, has slammed the British Broadcasting Corporation, over documentary on popular televangelist late Prophet Temitope Joshua, better known as T.B. Joshua.
The cleric strongly condemned the purported probe by the BBC during a service on Saturday in Effurun, Delta State, urging the media to let the dead rest.
He call on the BBC to launch its investigation into the Catholic Church, saying, “Go and probe the Pope that said they can entertain gay marriages. There are churches that have upheld masturbation. Go and check.”
Prophet Ariole affirmed that when the late T.B. Joshua was alive, he did good and fed the hungry ones, yet “today, they want to probe the dead.”
He expressed worries over the rationale behind the BBC documentary which he claimed came out to hunt the dead, asking ” What kind of popularity Bisola and all those accusers want?
He said ”my concern is Papa Adeboye will be judged. Bishop Oyedepo will be judged. I will be judged. You will be judged that day. We will see the ones that God will say depart from me. It’s not by power. It’s not by might. There’s a book of life that will be opened.”
BBC had released a highly controversial and damning documentary on the late TB Joshua, on Monday, accusing him of various crimes, including rape, against some members.
At least 25 persons gave eyewitness accounts bordering on allegations of sexual assault, physical abuse, faked miracles and trauma -allegedly suffered in the hands of the late, according to BBC on Monday.
