The operatives of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, Makurdi, Zonal Commamd, Benue State, have arrested five alleged internet fraudsters in the Makurdi metropolis, Benue State.
The Commission disclosed this on Thursday in a post via its X, formerly Twitter handle.
EFCC said, “They were arrested on Thursday following credible intelligence on their alleged involvement in internet-related offences.”
The anti-graft agency listed the names of the suspects to include Stanley Tochukwu, Desmond Tochukwu, Dennis Emeka, George Ebuka and Arinze Odo.
“Some items, including phones, power bank, ATM cards and some cash, were recovered from the suspects,” the anti-graft agency added.
The Commission stated further that they will be charged to court as soon as investigations are concluded.
