The Kwara State Police Command has declared Salam Ayodeji wanted for allegedly threatening Isese devotees in Ilorin, Kwara State.
According to a report, Ayodeji had bullied and threatened to cause mayhem in the shop of a female Isese devotee in Ilorin if she did not leave the city within eight days.
In the video posted on X on Sunday, Ayodeji can be seen confronting the woman and inquiring if she sells gadgets before giving her an eight-day deadline to leave the building.
He said in Yoruba, “Do women sell electronics?” Ayodeji asked, to which his cohorts responded, “We have never heard of such.”
The cleric continued saying, “We have told you what we want; leave the town. We do not allow Isese people in our town.”
The Muslim cleric’s Sunday tirade included, as you may recall, a claim that he had the support of the police commissioner.
During a scheduled meeting with Ayodeji’s family, Kwara State Police Commissioner, Ebunoluwarotimi Adelesi, requested that the family present the individual suspected of committing acts of terrorism and slander against the police before Wednesday.
The police chief additionally criticised the family for what she characterised as “poor training of their son.”
“Is it because Tajudeen’s wife is from Osun State? Does that mean she’s a traditionalist? Or are there no Muslims in Osun State”, the enraged CP queried.
The commissioner, who also engaged in conversation with the Alaran family, tenants of the Isese devotees who were forcibly evicted due to threats made by Ayodeji, reprimanded them for complying with the accused individual.
Ayodeji, in response to the police commissioner, expressed their futile attempts in locating their son, whose phone line has remained inaccessible for several consecutive days.
Tajudeen, the spouse of the Isese woman who was subjected to bullying and threats by Ayodeji and his associates, stated that the family of the accused had sought his forgiveness, which he graciously granted.
