A renowned Nigerian singer, Ayodeji Ibrahim Balogun, better known as Wizkid, is celebrating his 33rd birthday on Sunday( today).
The singer, who was born on July 16, 1990, is one of the modern-day Afrobeat legends.
The music maestro started recording at the age of 11 and released a collaborative album with the Glorious Five, a group he and a couple of his church friends formed.
He joined the record label Empire Mates Entertainment, where he was signed by Banky W in 2009.
He rose to stardom in the aftermath of releasing “Holla at Your Boy”, the lead single from his debut studio album, Superstar (2011), which also spawned the singles “Tease Me/Bad Guys” and “Don’t Dull”.
The music star is blessed with four children who were born in 2011, 2016, 2017, and 2022 by three different women.
