In the Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination’s 2022 and 2023 batches, a total of 178 instances of misconduct were found.
This is in accordance with information that was gathered on Monday from the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board.
The data show that a total of 94 instances were discovered during the UTME in 2022, while 84 cases were discovered in 2023.
JAMB identified the malpractices to include“multiple registrations, manipulation of biometrics, collusion of some private CBT centres with parents, impersonation, deliberate disruption of the examination process and syndicate of adjacent centres in examination.”
Furthermore, the exam body said,“Private school operators are aiding and abetting examination malpractice. There is a need to continuously check the activities of private school operators.”
