New Chelsea signing, Joao Felix, is expected to earn the sum of £250,000, per week at Stamford Bridge.
The Portuguese forward joined Chelsea on loan for the remainder of the season on Wednesday.
According to Sky Sports, Chelsea co-owner, Todd Boehly splashed out an €11 million loan fee for Felix.
Following his loan move from Athletico Madrid, the North London side will also bear the entirety of the Portugal international’s wages.
Chelsea beat the likes of Arsenal and Manchester United in the race for Felix.
Felix’s departure was motivated by his worsening relationship with Atletico Madrid manager Diego Simeone.
He has scored 34 goals in 131 appearances for Atletico and won the 2020-21 league title with the Spanish side.
Felix joined Atletico from Benfica in a €126m (£111m) deal from Benfica in 2019.
Felix could make his Chelsea debut against Fulham on Thursday night, but Blues manager Graham Potter says the team is waiting to hear whether or not he can play in the west London derby.
