Fatai Odunsi, the father of Nigerian music star Ahmed Ololade, popularly known as Asake, has revealed that his son has pledged to buy him a house and cover his medical expenses.
This development comes just days after Odunsi accused the singer of neglecting him since his health began to deteriorate in 2022.
Odunsi, who has been battling a stroke, claimed that despite his son’s success, he had not received financial support.
However, in a recent video, Odunsi confirmed that Asake had reached out to him, and their differences had been resolved. Speaking in Yoruba, he expressed pride in his son and offered prayers for him.
“We have sorted all the problems. We are no longer fighting,” Odunsi stated. “Asake said he will do everything that I want. They are now looking for a new house that he will buy for me. He has settled everything.”
In addition to the house and medical care, Asake has also committed to taking full responsibility for his 11-year-old daughter, Zeenat.
“He has never denied his child, but he has now promised to take full responsibility for the child,” Odunsi added.
Furthermore, he confirmed that he would be visiting the hospital soon, as Asake had sent him the necessary funds for treatment.
