Tensions escalated at the Lagos State House of Assembly on Thursday as former Speaker Mudashiru Obasa entered the assembly complex alongside security personnel.
According to The PUNCH, Obasa’s arrival, which occurred around noon, followed reports of the withdrawal of security aides assigned to the current Speaker, Mojisola Meranda.
Confirming the incident, Meranda’s Chief Press Secretary, Segun Ajiboye, accused Obasa and his team of forcefully accessing the Speaker’s office.
“We’re at the assembly now,” a source aligned with Obasa confirmed, suggesting a growing power struggle within the legislative body.
